OUR MAN “FRIDAY” EARNS HIS WINGS!

Our Stripe Hog customers, many of our colleagues throughout the industry, and certainly our competitors, all know that Dave Friday, Marketing Director for Waterblasting Technologies, is a very talented and determined individual. The marketing function or our company – the website, advertising, product literature, video production, trade show representation and marketing campaigns – are all under the very capable oversight of Mr. Friday. Around the Hog Farm, we call him Dave, for like so many of our team members, he is above all a very kind-hearted and likeable individual.

On March 11, 2007, his brother Jon invited Dave for a ride in his newly acquired plane. Not only was it the first time for Dave to fly with his own brother, it was also the first time for him to ride in a small plane. As they took off in the Cessna 172, they encountered a little wind sheer and were bumped around a bit. Jon observed that the initial turbulence was a bit unnerving for Dave. However, it must have soon been forgotten. Later in the flight, when they had reached a comfortable cruising altitude, the controls were turned over to Dave and he was hooked!

The exciting news is that on June 12th, just three months after that first flight, with approximately 90 hours of logged flying time, our man Dave received his single engine, private pilot’s license. Already, in addition to making new memories with his wife, Angie, his family and friends, Dave has made good use of his newly acquired skills in the interest of the Stripe Hog. All of us at Waterblasting Technologies are very proud of Dave and his very significant, personal accomplishment. We hope he understands that when he makes his first flight to Stuart, all of his co-workers will be expecting a quick look at the Hog Farm, from the air.
